Ramya: The Vision Behind Greengold
I believe in creating jewelry and decor that resonate with beauty and purpose.
Each design reflects my dedication to quality, sustainability, and individuality.

I am a Master’s in Food Technology by profession and currently an artpreneuer.
After working in corporate FMCG and Pharma/biotech companies for more than a decade, I embraced motherhood and turned into a stay-at-home-mom. A decision I have never regretted!
I am originally from Mysore, Karnataka. But have lived in many cities across India because of work.
GREENGOLD JEWELLERY was conceptualized in 2014 when I was in Mumbai. It started as a hobby actually.
I grew up surrounded by extremely artistic people. It was natural to inherit the “arty” genes. My grandmother and mother are gifted artists and have passed on their legacy I believe. I was always inclined towards the fine arts and life has given me a great opportunity to explore my creative side.
It started with painting some terracotta jewellery for myself. I have painted on various media like canvas, wall (murals), glass, cloth and jewellery. As it goes, friends and relatives loved my work and the rest as they say is history!
The love for folk art and traditional art forms has been a great influence in all my work. I have tried every folk art/traditional art form be it Madhubani, Warli, Chittara, Gond, Rajasthani miniature, Mysore traditional art and Ganjifa. I have even made pendants of great works of Masters like “starry night” and “Café Terrace at night” by Vincent Van Gogh.
Recently I made a pendant inspired by the floor tiles of Tamil Nadu called “athangudi tiles”!
Signing off with my All-time favourite quote…What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything? As the great artist Vincent Van Gogh told. One of my favourite artists!
